Mathematical oversight. :) At least it's cargo holds, which are limited by the size of your ship, and only off by 1 credit. One of the earlier galaxies had that oversight with fighters, and was much more (somewhere around 25-50 credits each)
I think I read about that on the profit union website.
I suppose with cargo holds it would be bit like ordinary trading, but with a profit of 1 credit each time, it would be even less profitable then water. So you might as well not bother.
